Moon 27-11-15. i couldnt belive it, the skys was clear for a while lastnight so i thought id better grab the moon. taken with ED80, 2XED barlow , 450d. 50 frames staxed with regi. thanks for looking clear skys charl

Nice crisp moon pics, well done.. I like the one with a bit of color, it's something different, nearly all moon pictures posted are gray scale.

thanks Dave, yer im chuffed with the way thay turned more so the 3rd one, i was just happy to be able to shoot something without cloud being in the way. i had about 4 hours clear sky lastnight.  clear skys charl.

Very nice lunar images. You have got some great detail, especially given the Moons phase. You are certainly becoming a dab hand at these lunar shots. Well done Charl.

thanks laudropb, im happy with them, i think using the 450d for the moon and sol has been a step forward, the alpha is the better for DSOs, but it was good seeing lastnight and that helped alot. clear skys charl.

Great shots there Charl with heaps of detail. I haven't seen all your work but this seems to be the best of the bunch that I have seen, very well done.

I wish I could get all the moon in my shots with my scopes.

thanks Dave,i find the 80 ed is just the right size for the moon, with a 2x barlow it fills the frame just right, before i got the ed80 i used my ar127l and i had to do the moon in two or 3 panes and stitch the together with microsofts ICE. the seeing was good lastnight and that helps alot.  clear skys charl.

thanks TW, i find its the otheir way with staxing, id rather have 100 great frames than 500 soso frames, then you need less processing and you get a more  cleaner image, thats what ive learned over the last year.  clear skys charl.
