Hi,

I have been 'snooping' around the SGL forum for a few months now & have found a wealth of information that has helped me a lot. Decided to join & hopefully learn more. Have been an avid stargazer for many years with the naked eye. Did have a cheap, poor quality newt that is probably as old as me, but was a waste of time. Got myself a new scope (Skywatcher Skyliner 200P), mostly due to comments here on forums. Looking forward to gaining more experience from all.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. Getting the 200p was a good move in my opinion as it is at this aperture that detail and structure start to make observing very interesting.

Please don't hesitate to post any questions in the appropriate section as and when they arise, even if you think a question might be a bit daft - we all need to learn and I for one have asked loads of questions that others may have considered a bit 'simple'. There is also the search facility in the top right hand corner of your screen that will help you access past questions and their responses.

Clear skies for now and hope you enjoy the forum.
