Today I finally found two sources for combination voltage / frequency transformers, so I can use my guitar & bass amps and tracking on one of our telescope mounts. Will contact them tomorrow to find out if I will have to take a mortgage out.

No Steve, I've got a fork mount from across the pond which requires  120 v  60 hz  power.  The same goes for my amps and a few tools and bits of machinery I shipped over.  The difference between 50 hz and 60 hz frequencies can have a damaging effect on certain electrical equipment, and also have an effect on the rate at which motorized mounts track.
