hello , I am new to this site and am hoping some people can further my knowledge on telescopes and astrophotography. I own a celestron nexstar se8, accessories include  feather touch microfocuser, homemade focus motor, highpoint 2" diagonal, celestron skysink gps, starsence auto alignment camera, astrozap heated dew shield.

I have been into this now for about eight years. It all got kicked off when I was out mowing some lawns and found a 4" tasco reflector in the trash.I took it home cleaned it up and pointed it at the brightest star in the evening sky, which turned out to be Jupiter. Ive been hooked ever since. looking forward to advice and knowledge especially in astrophotography, which is really my next move

thanks

Hi Dowd1 and welcome to SGL. If you are wanting to go over to the dark side, Astrophotography as we affectionately call it, then answer to your next move, is to obtain a copy of Steve Richards book "Making Every Photon Count" see FLO top of the page. probably the most widely used journal used by our forum imagers, from the very experienced to those just wetting their feet, it is a must have if you want the help and advice to produce good images, enjoy the forum :)
