The DIY was getting frustrating yesterday, so I had a couple of hours out to image the Sun. All images from a Lunt LS50THa and ASI120MM.

While I was shooting surface detail, I had an airliner blast through the video.

Here's the video of the pass...

Shortly after, I had a UFO whizz through the frame, which is most likely to be a bird in free fall, with wings folded between flaps.

I had a busy day today, but managed 10 minutes of clear sky late in the afternoon and caught the big prom which had lifted off the surface.

Thanks everyone. I'm starting to get to grips with the new scope now that I've had it a month, but of course the airliner and bird were just chance encounters. If I'd been exposing for proms instead of surface, the airliner and bird would have been blown out, if observable at all. Chance and good luck played the biggest part in those images.
