Explore Scientific 6.7mm 82deg

Have been thinking about purchasing one of these for a while now but still unsure

I used to have the Meade 6.7mm UWA which is the same eyepiece with regards elements, ExSc have a gimmik gas filling and a different look. I never used it in a scope that fast but it was decent inan F 5.26 M/N 190mm S/Watcher. The very edges were not as good as a 7mm Nagler but then one costs a fair bit more than the other. All in all I feel it's a very good eyepiece for the money.

I only have one ES eyepiece, the 24mm 68deg which is fantastic for scanning the sky, but was wanting to try this one for close up work.

I bought the ES 6.7mm last week at the IAS. I have used it twice in my Orion VX8 f4.5 and was very pleased with the outcome. Clearly I need to use it a few more times but at the moment I am happy with its performance.

answer to your question is Yes i have used that eye piece in 10 " F 4.8 dob and its great.Used both meade 5000 series and the ExSc 82 deg and couldn't see a darn difference.

I have this eyepiece and use it regularly with my Revelation F5 dob and love it. A massive improvement over my Revelation 6mm plossl and my TMB PII 4mm.
