M31 old data (2011)

It is amazing what kind of computer power I have now- compared to 2011. I can now easily re-stack and try different combination of parameters and calibration frames. I found 4 hrs of M31 data from 2011 and restacked it with some darks taken at the same temperature and exposure lengt from 2015. Here the only M31 from me this year, time to move on :-)

Camera is as usual the 12 year old Canon 10D and my William optics Megrez 90 in a HEQ5 Pro mount.

This is 15x15 minutes of M31. Darks subtracted and flats multiplied in. Hope you like it!

Very nice image- now load it into Photoshop & run GradientXterminator across it & that will do a very nice job of removing the gradients in the image- go on! (you know you want to). The top of the image is a little bit purple.
