dispite the clouds

Failed to find the double cluster, cloud whips every time I got near, but did manage to find the Ring Nebula for the first time, even though I've seen it before through someone else's scope (straight there with GoTo), it was a different sense of achievement finding manually by myself.

And the view was lovely through my new eyepiece, just starting to see a bit of structure with averted vision.

I've had my scope out for a couple of hours but, despite the favorable forecast, the gaps in the clouds have been too small for anything but binocular glimpses

I'm glad you found the Ring. It is satisfying to find something for yourself

Only got my 250px on Monday,first time out with it tonight.left it out cooling for a bit then only managed 10 mins then a blanket of cloud....still put a big grin on my face just slowly moving it around the stars......loved it

Haha , I got up for a pee around 3ish looked out the window.....perfectly clear skies......DOH...
