Explorations of ancient distant light.

Greetings,

Soon enough we'll finally have something in common, a magnificent device once pronounced as a 'time-machine' by a wise man named William Herschel back in the beginning of the 19th century. A device to behold and explore the extraordinary beauty of the sky, diving deep into the infinity of the cosmos.

I am Robbe, a relatively young human being from Belgium with a extremely inquisitive mind for anything that has to do with physics and the forces of the universe, scientists call it astrophysics. I'm glad a found a forum to share thoughts and post astronomy related questions since my first scope (and most likely my only scope for quite some time) will arrive next week. I've always had a burning curiosity for astronomy since i was a kid and recently a thirst for knowing everything. I purchased the Skywatcher Skyliner 250PX Dobsonian and a Celestron 25x70's binoculars to start this exciting adventure of exploring our beautiful sky. I'll create a post in a more pertinent section of this forum regarding the Skyliner 250PX as we speak !

Welcome, Robbe.

I think the most important thing about amateur astronomy is to enjoy oneself with the hobby. You look to be well set to do that and you have got yourself a serious telescope to help you on the way.

Have fun.
