Hi does anyone have a PDF or CAD file file for the above it must be anti clockwise as it is going on the top plate i have a setting circle already but it has both scales on clockwise and anticlock wise and this can cause some confusion at night under red light, this is the setting circle i have at present as you can see their are two scales on it, and now I realise after 12 months it can be confusing.

Here's a PDF that I've used for everything from a small (9" Diameter) to a large (20" Diameter) circle.  Just take it down to the local office store and have them expand/shrink it to the size you need.

Thats a great setting circle but it is clockwise and no good for the top plate it needs to be anti clockwise thanks anyway

Sorry it won't work for you, David.

I must confess though.  I've build about a dozen azimuth circles on several different scopes and can't even visualize a circle on the top plate.

Clear, Dark Skies

It actualy works very well and very easy to set up anyway here is a link to my blog and show how I did it the only problem i have is the setting circle has both scales and the anti clockwise one is not very clear.

looks good and Im interested to know how you use it?

Ive got a top scale on mine (both directions) and a moveable pointer made from a large foldback style paper clip , this allows me to move the clip and align on any bright star, works a treat.

way grander than mine and looks good. Operating principle the saem. My setting circle is o top but my pointer is a very rough modified crocodile clip with a wire pinter soldered onto it. The clip can be placed anywhere on the base so alignment very easy. Got an angle meter which attaches to the tube magnetically for elevation.
