Scope Meade 127EDT refractor

Eyepieces Vixen LV 30mm (31.75x), LVW 22mm (43.3x), LVW 13mm (73.26x), LVW 5mm (190.5x), LVW 3.5mm (272.14).

Mount Celestron CGE, linked to Skymap Pro 11 via Nexremote.

Seeing good but atmospherics making views unstable.

To start with whilst waiting for darkness I chose a few doubles from Sissy Haas book.

STF 2333 Lyra

Mags 7.8 and 8.6 with sep of 6.5"

A pretty pair with slight mag difference. Book says yellow but not sure. 30mm split 22mm easy split.

STTA171 Lyra

Mag 7.0 and 8.0 with massive 150" sep.

Very wide binocular pair, good in 30mm which included Vega in the field. Nice

STF2351 Lyra

Matching 7.6 mag pair at 5" sep. I love looking at close equal mag pairs and this didn't disappoint. 30mm easy, 13mm nice.

STF 2751 Cepheus

Another matching pair at 6.5 mag and 1.6" sep. Both white 30mm elongated, 13mm gap, 3.5mm super view.

STF2780 Cepheus

A close mag pair at 6.1 and 6.8 with a tight 1" sep. This is actually in Sh2-129 nebula but no chance of seeing that with this set up visually.

Both white, 3.5mm splits them nicely and the slight mag difference makes a nice view.

STF2791 Cepheus

A 7.4 and 9.6 mag pair at 26.4" sep. This is a lovely pair, easy split and good mag contrast. No colour

STF2801 Cepheus

7.6 and 8.6 mag with 2" sep. A nice pair, book states orange, not sure.

By this time cloud was threatening on the horizon so I went through a few DSO favourites

M27 in O111

NGC 6960 and 6995 in O11 (Veil both sides)

M15

M11

M14

M10

M12

M13 in 5mm WOW! super sharp image resolving plaenty of stars.

M31, 32, 110

M81, 82

Epsilon Lyra

Double cluster

Altogether an enjoyable couple of hours snatched from the weather gods.
