Which application to use with Ultrastar?

So my new Ultrastar mono is on the way, and I'm unsure which software is the right one to use with it. The rebranded "Starlight Live" doesn't appear yet on the SX website. I have LL 0.12 on my Mac right now. Will this version recognize the Ultrastar, or will I have to lauch it from the command line as described here for other SX cameras?

Thanks

My son just got his Ultrastar and the Starlight Live is on the CD that comes with the camera. He got the mono version as well.

Thanks for the reply, SNR!

Out of curiosity, did the CD include both Mac and Windows apps, and if so which one is you son using?

Alex

I am checking on that for you... I will get back to you

Alex,  My son said he did not see any MAC version on the CD. Seems kind of strange to me seeing how it is made by the same guy who does the Lodestar Live software and has both MAC and WINDOWS versions. In fact I think it is basically the same software for both LODESTAR and ULTRASTAR.

Hmmm...

So the version SX have is a test beta version...

I am planning on releasing a cut in the next few days which is basically V0.12 but with ultrastar (and other SX cams) support - plus a bug fix or two.

It won't have multi spectrum or performance enhancements as these are still work in progress but will get folks started with the new camera.

It will be both Mac and windows!!

Posted here on the forum and will contact SX for their website too!

Hi paul..Reading between the lines ect , I was led to believe you were working in conjunction with sx (lodestar) but still having a shareware version distributedfrom here.

I was pleased for you that you were getting acknowledged for your work by lodestar, your software is probably the major factor in a lot of there recent sales of there cameras.

Thank you for the kind words Davy!

Lodestarlive (renamed Starlightlive) still remains freeware and my property - SX are kindly hosting it on their website but I'll be posting links and info here on SGL too! :-)
