Pier and Polar Alignment

Up until now I have been using  a tripod and polar aligned every session.

I now have a  pier. How often should I check the polar alignment? 

Do I still need to do it every session or just now and again?

If you have everything permanently bolted down solid, you shouldn't have to check the alignment each time. Perhaps check again a few weeks later once everything has had time to 'settle' then stretch it out from there based on your experiences.

The handset has a Polar Align routine, all that's involved is a 2 star alignment this brings up a Polar Alingment option, you pick a star from a scrolling list and follow the handset instructions, takes 5 minutes from start to finish you can then park the mount and run EQMod ect , i do this about once a month and last time i check it didn't need moving....
