that IS nice 

on the starless picture try a high-pass filter about 5% in photo shop then save it then add the result to your finished pic as a soft light layer. it will bring out more detail in the dust but wont effect the stars.

liking both the ha and colour a lot but can't come to grips with the starless versions. of course this is only my opinion and as such is meaningless
