In my last post of my images of the Sun I had turned the gamma way up to get both the prominences and surface in the same shot.

On Friday I went back to the old ways of creating a composite image.

There's about 4k frames in those images and seeing was quite good.

I'm pretty sure my wavlet processing in Registax 6 is too aggressive so I backed off on that and tried a High Pass filter in overlay with 33% opacity to bring out a little finer detail.

Nice work, David, it's good to see some Lunt 50 images coming in. I never got on with wavelets in Registax but my wife was fine with them, I guess thing is to do what you are doing, try different ways, and see what works best for you.

Smart Sharpen in Photoshop is another way you can try, with Remove set to Lens Blur. And have you got Lucy Richardson deconvolution in Pixinsight?

Thanks for the advice Luke

I was wondering about how I could use Pixinsight on these images - I do have deconvolution so I'll read up on how it can be used.

I'll have a look at that process in PS too - excellent feedback - thanks!
