I have never gathered  the data for a 27 pane mosaic so quickly: 6 minutes to grab 27 1000 frame AVIs. Brilliant! Seeing was not great, but still got a decent mosaic

Looks very nice here despite conditions, Michael.

I have done some rough calculations and I think it means you'll be able to do a full mosaic with a 200mm frac

Is it tempting you to try the SCT with solar film? I am really impressed by that white light image on solarchat with the 9.25

if you're getting this at "not great seeing", what would it look like at great seeing conditions?

It might be going a bit quiet in terms of sunspots, but there are some fantastic filaments and proms there.  Those ones on the eastern limb look promising for next week.

Cheers everyone. There are many great filaments at the moment. The proms in the east may well be the next big filament in the coming week.

One very nice thing about the new laptop is that it doesn't just beat the old one by miles in acquisition speed, but processing (especially running the first selection in PIPP) is much faster. Well pleased
