AR2396 - Nearly Blew The Gap!

Luke

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Nice to be back after my hols, chopping down the jungle in the garden afterwards, etc! Seeing was a bit ropey this morning and I almost blew the 15 minute gap! Couldn't find the sun, I had knocked my Sol Searcher out of kilter :embarrassed:  Thanks for looking! Luke

PS rotation is wrong deliberately. as tribute to me also putting the camera in the wrong position. One of those days!!

Thanks for the kind words, all!

I had a shorter capture that I was going to delete but I stacked it and thought I'd invert and try and show a little more detail on the proms. I find positive images so tough with proms.

Alexandra, you being unable to find the sun, being the solar system astrophotographer of the year, really tickles me

I am relieved I got something from the session! Lucky to catch some rays yesterday.

Just spent ten minutes trying to find the Sun, centred in the Sol Searcher then realised I'd left the scope capped  :embarrassed:

Dave

 I feared I'd left the cap on the Quark's scope-end nosepiece, I was half expecting to see smoke after capping the scope and taking the Quark out  I think I was being punished for thinking, there comes a nice little gap, just enough time to reel off a dozen captures of the most interesting features... :icon_porc:
