trifid nebula

Recommended Posts

hi,

tonight i was able to do a good drift align and revisited the trifid nebula. i'm very happy with it so far.

here is the result:

telescope 130 pds, 43x45s iso 800 subs stacked, used some denoise also.

coma is very obvious around the corners. i'm waiting for the gso coma corrector to arrive in the store

here is a crop from the nebula

That's beautiful!! I have just bought a used 150 PDS (delivery on saturday) so I'm really excited to see photos like this.

How good is the sharpness in the centre? Would you mind posting a small 100% crop with some stars?

Beautiful!

My baader coma corrector is being delivered today... All I need is some clear, moonless skies. Did you use a filter?

thsnks tim, i don't have an LP filter yet. i'm doing a research on the best one and maybe buy it.

thanks Martin, the crop i posted is not resized, is it a 100% crop? in the imaging with the 130 pds topic you can see some very good pictures, it is a very nice scope.
