power and Data box

Hi all,

As you know after some time with your astro-stuff you start to feel that you have too much power and data cables which make managing your sessions very frustrated!, so I decided to make my own power and data box to make sure that I keep every thing easy to access and to use.

I finished it and I'm so happy with it as it makes a huge difference to me.

here are some pictures and I hope you like it.

I used B@Q tool box, It's very sturdy and big enough.

As you can see in the pictures I used:

- 12V 88AH deep cycle battery and a smart battery charger. this should be enough to run every thing for couple of nights.

- 12V 30AH power supply. I use this when I have main AC power available or I can power it from the battery as well.

- 600W Pure Sinewave inverter. if I need a good AC power form the battery, I use it for my laptop.

- 100W 1-20V 5A Slim Bench Power Supply. I use this PS to power my CCD.

- fuse box for protection.

I can charge my battery using solar panel if needed, I'm using a solar battery charger controller.

I use a digital voltmeter display to see the voltage from the battery and from the 12V 30 Ah power supply, I'm using a small switch to change between.

For data I'm using 7 port USB3 powered hub, and 10m USB active repeater cable to connect all usb devices to the laptop.

and finally I'm using a dew controller and 3 way car cigarette Socket if needed.
