Signs my prescription is off?

Not sure if this is just typical of the MK-I eyeballs but when I look at bright stars through my bins or just my naked eyes, I can never get the stars to become just one point source, they always split slightly in two and it's really annoying me.

I was wondering if this might be a result of my glasses prescription being slightly off. Anyone here know why this might be?

Funny that - I've been getting similar sypmtoms recently - it looks like the diffraction spikes that happen on an image through a newtonian. Yet I have no spider in my eyes lol. Guess I'll go get them checked again as well. :)

I think everyone has that, probably to do with our iris' unevenness on the edge of the aperture stop.
