I have finally managed to set everything up and take my first image in my observatory

This is M57 taken on 30 July 2015

Orion Optics UK SPX250 scope on HEQ5

Canon EOS 1000D unmodded, Baader MPCC, light pollution filter

80x 30 sec (40 minutes) at ISO800

APT, DSS, PS CS2

it wasn't guided. I haven't got around to set up guiding yet.

It probably helped that the exposures are only 30 seconds not leaving much time for stars to drift (I couldn't go much higher as the almost full moon would wash out the images) ;-)
