Wheel barrow for XX14g dobsonian

Hello all, first post at staargazerslounge! 

 

After 2 years with my 8" f5, I just bought an Orion XX14g (I'm excited with this 14" dobsonian!)

 

I decided to buy it as 90% of my observation time will be done by moving the scope just 20 feet away through a corridor door, requiring little transport. I don't want to lose time mounting and unmounting it nor want to use any platform as the 67" eyepiece height of the scope at zenith is just right for me so I thought about the wheel barrow solution.

 

There is a threat it astronomy forum about people using Moonlite truss components to build it but I'm wondering if I could find an online hardware store in Europe that could offer similar hardware at a cheaper price.

Welcome. You could probably get everything you need from EBay.

It works very well on this dob, you can put the guides for the arms on the underside of the base. And wheels on simple axle. Colleague has the same scope and this is what he did.
