The sun in Ha 31/7/15

Hi,

Conditions looked the same as normal this morning, clear blue sky, but two thirds of the way through my 12 pane mosaic the seeing turned to pants and the last third of the disc (shown at the top, once corrected) was all rather hazy and without fine detail.  Still it was better than nothing so here is this morning's sun in Ha.

There is one close up and a prom, if they come out.

I took one close up (ASI174 without reducer) of the new sun spot and a second of the best proms 5 minutes after the mosaic, looks like the seeing looks like it had improved.  Perhaps a thin bit cloud went over and I didn't notice, I have to sit round the corner on the balcony to stand a chance of seeing the laptop screen.

(Both images need rotating by about 120 degrees anti-clockwise to be aligned)

Thanks guys.

Very nice. Thank goodness that you solar boys are posting images. It's the only way I get to see the sun these days. Raining cats and dogs here again.

If you live near Sunderland it would be raining 'Datsun cogs'. This doesn't work quite as well since they changed their name to Nissan.
