chiltonstar
Clear, and with a lot of Moon about, it was definitely the night for doubles with strong colour differences!Struve 2666 is a very beautiful yellow/blue pair in Cygnus - definitely not an ugly duckling! The light sky background brought out the strong tints very nicely at x160 (Mak).Psi Cygni nearby is also strongly coloured, although the secondary is less intense (to me) than 2666. Although this star appears as a triple at x160, it is marked in both Haas and Cambridge as a double??Another nice one nearby is 26 Cygni - very wide double, strong orange and grey-blue colours to me.Chris

laudropb
Hi nice report. Never seen a third star in Psi Cygni, but I will have another look if the clouds ever clear.
chiltonstar
Never seen a third star in Psi Cygni, but I will have another look if the clouds ever clear.I've had a look at a few charts and SkySafari Pro, and I think it's a nearby field star - hardly surprising in Cygnus I think!Chris
