Hi All

I signed up to SGL over 8 years ago and have made use of the information herein but only from afar as not been active in astronomy for quite some time.

Hopefully that will change (well, it has already :)) as I've just acquired a motorised goto bells and whistles (to me) Nexstar 6 SE so I figured it was time for a major de-lurk!

I got involved with astronomy over 20 years ago while living in Jersey (any Jersey Astronomy Club folk in here?) and kicked off with naked eye and a pair of 10x50s.  Progressed to a TAL-1 110mm newt on an EQ mount which has served me very well for many years although it's in need of some tlc these days.

I've been to a couple of Swindon Stargazers <hello> stargazing sessions a few years back but have not managed to make any of the meets.  Must try harder.

Anyway, enough boring stuff about me.  Hello all!

geez guy, you're one of the longest standing members here!.... with your posting rate, you'll have access to the classified section by the yr 2107 :D.

Joking aside, welcome to sgl and enjoy your new set-up. and of course, any questions.....ask away :)

Thanks for the welcome all.  Yeah, I can be bit of a slow starter ;)

Hi Robin, I must make it to at least one Swindon Stargazers meet before the year is out.

2107 eh Scott?  I think I can achieve that :)
