Saturn IR with time laps

The seeing didn't suit an RGB image but it looked ok for IR last night so I thought I would give a time laps a go. This is three hours in ten images.

Fantastic image that is some aperture you have there!

Haha yep that was the point in making the scope. When doing last years Mars I was always disappointed with the resolution of my 10" scope when I used an IR pass filter. There is only one way to fix that and that's with aperture. I can't wait for Mars next time and the time after that too.

I'm making a 20" f3.8 mirror now but that will be in a dob mount for visual mainly but I may power it and us it for planetary imaging if the mirror turns out anything like my 18".

Here's my 18" next to my 10" Royce mirrored scope
