Not strictly accurate as it's too grey here today at Aphelion ...  :embarrassed:

So I've used shots from the 2nd of January and the 24th June to give a fair idea of the apparent size difference ....  :smiley:

Very interesting! The difference is bigger than I would have imagined.

The Northern Hemisphere gets all the advantages: In the Winter a bigger Sun to lessen the cold, and a greater orbital speed to keep the season short; in the Summer a smaller Sun to temper the heat and a slower orbital speed to make the season last.
