Yep - been there - done that like http://home.freeuk.com/m.gavin/eyelode2.html or my PNe quickies from last night below.

But there are many, nay most amateurs with NO drive on their scopes and as an experiment I was demoing in the YT video that fancy scopes are unnecessary to take deepsky shots from suburbia that show vastly more than the eye at the EP even from a dark site like you have
