Prom detached from Sun at sunset

post-3007-0-84247600-1436041664_thumb.jpI watched the big prom from about 4.40 pm on and off.  This quick grab was taken just before I lost the Sun behind trees, just before 8.30pm.  Taken with a 60mm etalon and B1200 on an Equinox 80, using a compact Panasonic - afocal.

Thank you for your kind comments.  When I first saw it at 4.30pm ( I was out all day before this) it looked liked a lacewing perched on the edge of the Sun and tethered at one end.  I thought it might detach but it was a close run thing.  All the action really happened after 7.50 and I was urging it to come off so that I could see it before the Sun went below my tree-line.  Luckily it did - just! :smiley:
