Fantastic prom

It looks as though the lovely proms are here again today, I thought I wasn't going to get to see them.

Another very bright spike is starting to appear around the 3 'clock position and this might be an indicator of a nice event

The surface detail is looking good too with a few spots to see, all of which are surrounded by some lovely swirls and Plaged areas.

Time to go back outside for me

It should come out fairly nice Dave as it is nice and bright, The spike would be on the West in real time. However, it lost its brightness quite soon after my initial post, but you can never predict anything with the sun and it may still happen

Peter,

I tried the NPL 40mm Plossl and the nose cone of a Tal barlow (1.4x) in the Quark again today (F30). I had forgotten about this combination and I was immediately  reminded by the excellent results it gives.

Having this lovely prom was a bonus I guess and the detail I cold see was fantastic, I only managed to keep observing until 20:00.

Lets hope the conditions keep up
