Thank you

Sorry, what is  ImPPG LR?

LR deconvolution is shorthand for Lucy-Richardson deconvolution. It is a pretty robust sharpening method that assumes you know something about the inevitable blur in your system. The implementation in ImPPG, a freeware program developed by an SGL member, assumes the blur is Gaussian, and you only have to enter the sigma value (and number of iteration, but that I keep fixed). Works a treat

Coming along a treat Rob, you just need to invest in a tracking mount.

I have a Sky Watcher Star adventurer which has a Solar tracking mode, I've used it with the Quark and 80mm refractor but haven't tried it with the LS60 which is a bit weighty but must give it a try to see if it's usable.

+1 for a tracking mount. Makes life so much easier

I agree, just got to convince the lovely wife :)

Here is an reprocessed image, left B&W using ImPPG and I think I love it, thanks for sharing.

Hi Dave

Please let me know when you do, I have been looking over the past week at these with the sole intention of using it for the LS60.  It looks encouraging, but as this will be its only useage I want to make sure its up to the job.

Thanks

Rob
