Jupiter Venus Convergence

I live in The Midlands, UK... have I missed my opportunity to see this? Last night I could see a really bright star (well I believe due to Google sky it was either Jupiter or Venus) then at about 11 o'clock above it there was a dimmer star. I am new to this & somewhat confused... doesn't take much, I admit. Any help would be appreciated x

you saw it. venus is the bright star and jupiter the fainter at 11 o'clock

They will still be there tonight, just a little further apart. Worth a look

I have been having some lovely evenings watching this dance at the end of the day.

We have had some big days recently and I don't have the energy to get the scope out and image or observe but it's really nice winding down with a refreshment in the warm evenings and watching these planets converge. Also a good talking point for the kids.
