So, a monsoon blew through this afternoon, killing the view for the evening, or so I thought.

Nice pic! I had a brief look yesterday evening with some binoculars but it's clouded out for a couple of nights

Lovely view here despite an attempt by late clouds to spoil the show.

Both in FOV with 20mm ES eyepiece in the refractor from my west facing rooftop. A real feeling of the shape of the solar system with the bright phase of Venus showing it as an inner planet and the ghostly disc of Jupiter in the twilight giving a real feeling of it being beyond and way out there.

Well, yes - sort of. You missed the bit when they were closest. However, they'll still be pretty close tonight. They didn't/don't align completely
