r/a motor drives

i am having a real problem with these r/a motor drives the selestron motor drive arrived today light powers up no movement at all from the motor itself even after 1 hour are these motor drives unreliable or is it sheer bad luck on my part

RA clutch tight?   N/S  switch on N?  Bolt that attaches motor sleeve to RA stem tight against the flat part of the stem?  Wire that plugs into back of controller all the way in?   

Thats all I got for now.

if you've not bolted the motor to the mount, try running it on a table & check that the motor turns, note that you may need to set it to a higher speed to see any rotation....

Sounds like you haven't switched it to north (N)

thanks tried all that it did start to work then stopped and yes it was switched to north i reckon there is a wiring fault any way it is being returned to be replaced by the seller
