Of a next star 8 ota can seem to find any

I think they have the weights wrong in this.They should be the other way round:

OTA about: 5 Kg

Mount and tripod about: 11Kg

The red dot finder is sub standard on an 8SE I replaced it with a 8x50 finder. I also upgraded the visual back to allow for 2" EPs. Bottom line: while the OTA is light, by the time you upgrade and add accessories, add another 2kgs on top.
