Nexstar 114GT alignment issues

My friend has let me borrow his Nexstar 114GT and the goto is way off. when looking through the reddot finder its 2-3 inches off from my perspective

anyone else have this issue with this, or know of a fix?

Where does the friend live?

If not Fort Worth then the Lat and Long will be for their location not yours.

Have you said Yes to DST - sounds like this is more likely.

I assume the red dot is lined up with the scope.

You have done the alignment ??

There is little information in the post so some guesswork.

Do you mean the first alignment star was way off - this could be "normal".

Yes the alignment star first and second were way off.   and i might have selected DST. 

the reddot is aligned with the scope, I made sure to adjust that earlier in the day

doing a bit of digging it could be a bug in the handheld. we are in the works of getting the RS-232 adapters to update it
