I took my Dad to Duxford for the VE flying weekend as a 90th birthday present. He flashed his original RAF passbook at the kiosk and got in free. I guess being in Normandy in 1944 was pretty relevant. Anyway back on topic I was really impressed with the quality of the flying display, better than previous examples. I took quite a few pictures but here is one of the Meteor, a trainer variant first flown in 1949.

Great pic! The Bristol Blenheim flew over my house on Saturday afternoon (about 15 miles from Duxford) - amazing looking and sounding beast!

Here you go, caught the Blenheim too...

I often go for a wander around an RSPB reserve West of Duxford and if they have a show on at a weekend the planes are out practising generally on the Thursday before over the reserve. West means theyare out of the flight paths for Stansted and other airports. Makes for an intersting wander round.
