Run out of dark nights for a while now, so thought I would post what I have so far. 3 hours worth of Ha in 20 min subs. Needs at least twice as much data but it's getting there. Stars are a mess as I have processed for the nebula. They can get sorted when I have all the data. Big crop from the 460 on the MN190.

It maybe a crop Freddie but the detail is pretty good so far.

I am enjoying Solar at the moment (I knew the Quark was a bad idea  ) I put the dark sky imaging to bed as it were but I really must get a proper 1st light for the 460EX.

I take it your doing NB with this target ?

Ewan, it's a nice cam, you should get on well with it. Wanted something a bit different so am doing NB on this. Ha and O started though much more to collect and then need to start on the S. It could take a while to produce a decent pic !!!

I image all year round in Kent, there's no need to stop especially if your doing narrowbanding!

I am looking forward to neb season this year as I bought the 460 just at the end last year, more fov I guess & a little more forgiving.

Atik 460 EX is a great camera. I do the majority of my work on the C11 edge with the Atik. It is really sensitive on a 2x2 bin but still produces great image scale. I've started playing a bit more with the 490 OSC 1x1bin on the RASA as it's taken me a bit longer to get a filter slide in place so I can do some narrow band work with the 460 on the RASA. One useful point- if you set it at -15 Celsius you don't need any dark frame calibration the noise level is notable by not being there!

Bias as a dark and a defect map is what I use.
