Classic Comets - Lovejoy #4 (C/2013 R1)

Just starting a long haul "developing" old images filed away in my unprocessed image archive - being semi retired as of Friday, Saturday was used to 1) dig out a hole for my new obs pier and 2) start work on that image backlog that somehow developed over the last 4-5 years!

Anyway here is my take on Comet Lovejoy (the previous one!) on the morning of December 6th 2013 with its grand blue ion tail! Bit of a beauty comet-wise!

It was a great comet to view nice to see an image of it to stir the memories.

Wrong Lovejoy I'm afraid! You are thinking of #5 (C/2014 Q2)  which is skirting past Polaris right now - the picky I took is of #4 (C/2013 R1) which has long faded into obscurity
