Hi is anyone using USB over cat5 / wifi to control scope, guide cam and imaging camera?

I have an industrial wireless network extender and was thinking of popping that in the garden with a USB to cat 5 adaptor. Then the USB will go to a powered hub and from there to the scope.

I realise that it would be too slow for planetary imaging but with the guide camera only doing one image every two seconds it isn't a huge amount of data to send.
