The Rosetta Mission

Recommended Posts

I've been checking in to the Rosetta blog (http://blogs.esa.int/rosetta/) ever since Rosetta's rendevous with Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. An incredible achievement and some fantastic images coming back, and now we can clearly see the crud that the comet is spitting out along with the various gas plumes. Just the stuff of future meteor showers I guess, though in the case of 67P, its orbit lies outside that of the Earth's so I doubt if we'll ever observe any of its after effects.
