great service and extremely good after market assistance. You seem to be on a one man crusade to dis flo where ever possible. might be worth concidering that without them you wouldn't have this platform to do so. I'm glad your getting good service for whatever reason but it's getting a little boring listening to it.

Not at all, if they want to pay more, they can :)

Sorry for posting a non-FLO product link, I didn't know that was not permitted.

I guess posting an alternative cheaper price is not allowed. I was only trying to help save them money. It must be great to spend other peoples money for them.

I guess that is the down side of a forum that is sponsored (reads as BIASED) towards a specific company.

Let's not lose perspective, we're talking about a little piece of metal, an adapter, not 20,000 GBP optics here.  Seems you lost perspective

By being biased towards FLO and attacking people for posting alternative links does not help neither your nor FLO's business in my eyes one bit, quite the opposite. Is that the kind of reputation you or FLO want, seems it is, you seem to be their spokes person

In fact now, I am even more determined to spend less at FLO due to people like you.  Congratulations.

I'll not dignify your agressive, rude response with an answer

On the contrary. If you can find a similar product elsewhere then we are happy for you to post a link to that product. FLO may be the sole sponsor of SGL but they don't control the content of the forum.

It seems they do, via their "peer pressure" (read as bullying tactics) from the moderators such as auspom here.

I simply posted an alternative link that is cheaper. As you said.  However, look at the bully boy tactics employed above in response to it.

So can you explain AusPom's, the moderators response attacking me for posting the alternative product?

The general tone of post #6 .

The forum is neither biased against or towards any astro retailer and we are quite happy for you to post a link to similar products. Being rude towards any forum member, this includes FLO who are also members of the forum, in any context is unacceptable.

If you wish you can delete my account, Honestly, this is not the only forum on the topic.

Excuse me for trying to help a new beginner save money.

Not a penny more shall be sent to FLO, congratulations.

If folks have finished throwing their toys out of the pram perhaps we could get back to the OPs query. :)

I have had a SW SA  for a while now and am very pleased with it, it's quick to set up and polar align and takes excellent astro photos with up to 300mm lens, you need a reasonable tripod, I use a Velbon DV7000.

funny, I made a mistake and my clipboard had the wrong link in it I was actually posting a link to a thread with images taken from the star adventurer or so I thought.

Oops, now look what you've done [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

I did wonder what that had to do with the OP, but these things happen. I'm current hiding under the table wearing a tin hat for protection [emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]

It can only carry a certain amount of weight, a DSLR camera plus lens and or a small scope adding up to 5kg (as per specification sheet), however try fitting a heavy scope to it and its eyes will water
