Not many chances over the weekend, but a hour or so on Sunday was better than nothing. A quick look through the PST showed this filament to be very different in appearance to all the others visible, much darker and it looked as if it was further off the surface.

The 1st image was taken at 8:20, after i popped back in the house for a quick coffee and slice of toast. The 2nd around 15 minutes later and I could not believe it had virtually vanished!

The usual set up DMK21au618/PST 4,000 frames, stacked around 350 in Registax, combined in Photoshop.

Sunday I was lucky to get some shots but it was a bit mixed, seeing looked to be decent if it wasn't for a lot of thin high up stuff. North of us I could see nice clear blue! Wonder how they will come out.
