Hi from Aust

Hi all, greetings from the land down under.

I am an amateur astronomer from Melbourne and have been a visual observer for the past ten years or so. I am now on a steep learning curve on astrhotography. I have an ed80, c8 and a 10" f4 schimidt Newtonian.

I will be visiting the UK in September, and anticipating a visit to the Kielder Observatory around the first new moon... Cant wait to see the wonders of the norther skies.

Thanks Bo

just wondering if any of you guys of the 'down under brigade' :) have ever seen the world maps they have in canberra?  Australia is the land of the 'up-over'. :)

But then again - it is canberra that has sells them! :)

Hello Bo, and a very warm welcome to the star-crazy gang. It sounds like you have some lovely scopes there. I really hope you enjoy your astronomy and you have a great time with your new friends on this wonderful forum. I'm sure you'll be made more than welcome when you visit our Northern Skies.

All the best

Bob
