This is in no way a serious post, I had an idea and that was to piggyback my 3" tasco scope on the back of my skywatcher 130. I even had to add an old weight to keep it balanced... With the camera on top the payload limit is way over but I think it looks pretty cool.

Again not serious and I know it would never work but hey ho, might work on a big sturdy mount. Also the 130 is now a push in/out focuser as that was the only way I could get prime focus to work.

Apologise if its in the wrong section but it is about a mount after all.

I would think about securing the loose weight in some way (maybe trap it between the smaller weights). You don't want it sliding around whilst slewing.

I just plopped it on to give it a balance, you only have to breath near the scope and its like an earthquake has hit it aha. I hope to get an EQ 3 pro GOTO soon so could use that mount (not with both scopes at the same time) of course maybe one at a time.

Reminds me of my attempt at overloading a Great Polaris mount, by using a 4.5" reflector as giant finder

It was a bit shaky, but with an extra (official Vixen) counterweight worked more or less

That's very a very nice image! A beast riding a beast by the looks of it, I have taken the little one off and stuck it on the end of the counter balance arm now, duel wielding eq2 mount aha
