Virtual Moon Atlas

I have just purchased a laptop running Windows 8.1 and have downloaded The Virtual Moon Atlas. On trying to open the program it gets as far as showing a dialogue box which reads "Farside_Named_uEN.csv Preparing Database. Please wait..." Then the program hangs.

Ant ideas from any of you gurus.

Hi Alan, have tried to install Virtual Moon on Win 10 with a similar result. Saw this box you mentioned but program stops after this with an OpenGL error message. For me this means to install the latest graphic card driver which contains OpenGL drivers as well. You can also try to install and start in Win7 compatibility mode as VM seems not to be ready for Win 8.x or newer. But the OpenGL thing is more likely.

Thanks Martin but the issue is now resolved. I didn't do anything specific but had to do a computer restart to install updates and found that the Atlas then loaded with no problems.
