Do bright satellites make close stars invisible?

Recommended Posts

Hi There,

I was wondering if you have a bright satellite whether it can make stars which (appear to the earth viewer) are close (or rather, in a direction close to that) appear invisible to the naked eye?

Like light pollution or a similar phenomenon?
