Lunt 35 between the clouds

I had a very nice Saturday, but cloudy. A few images made with Lunt 35 and Chameleon 3 mono:

Lovely shots. People say the LS35THa is a visual instrument, not imaging. They are WRONG. It is a great little scope that can produce some cracking images, like this set.

Is this with the B400 or B600 blocking filter?

Chris, I have a B600, which is about the size of Chameleon's sensor. B400 would be probably vignetting without a Barlow. Even B600 still shows some vignetting when using the stock helical focuser; I replaced it with a short T2/C-mount adapter, so now the camera is much closer to the blocking filter (screwed directly onto the diagonal). I also use a Borg non-rotating helical T2 focuser, attached to the diagonal from the OTA side. (For Barlow shots, when the camera has a 1.25" nosepiece attached, I use a low profile 1.25" holder on the diagonal).

However even with the the stock rotating focuser imaging is doable, if less convenient.

Really lovely shots. I agree with Michael, I have heard some say solar imaging starts at 60mm. You, David and others are producing cracking images sub 60mm.
