brrttpaul
I have a Nikon D7200 and a skywatcher 150 and a HEQ 5 mount, I also have a T ring for my camera from when I used to use the spotting scope, I thought this would have fitted on where the eyepiece goes but after just looking at it, it seems not so what else do I need? or have I missed somethingCheersPaul
PeterCPC
You also need a T adapter. The T ring screws onto this and then you put the T adapter where the eyepiece goes.Peter

brrttpaul
Would this be the right one? nikon camera, skywatcher 150, I have a T ring http://www.amazon.co.uk/Celestron-T-Adapter-Universal-1-1-4/dp/B0000665V6/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1430048881&sr=8-7&keywords=t+adapter+nikon

Tinker1947
This how you will likely end up, T-Ring with Coma Corrector .......
PeterCPC
I should point out that you may experience a problem with focus with the T adapter due to insufficient inwards travel.Peter
Helite
If it is the 150P you have does it not have the "direct" connection for a T-ring ? You unscrew the eyepiece holder and it is threaded to take the T-ring directly without the nosepiece?
theghettostylus
I've heard the 150p can achieve focus just fine, I'm thinking of getting the same scope for my canon.Apparently if you have the 1'25 and 2 inch in one you will be fine. But I'm no expert... Keep us posted on how you get on with focus if you will?
Tinker1947
The Skywatcher Newt suited for imagine have the prefix P-DS added, there a slightly shorter tube the focal point for DSLR's is a bit further out......
brrttpaul
Well I,m not really sure what model it is I bought it 2nd hand all I can see on there is 150, I have taken a photo so you can see what I acctually have , as I said I have a T ring so I would assume just a T adapter would do, I didnt realy want the scope just the mount but it only cost me £650 for both and that came with a hitecastro focuser and a few different eyepieces and filters. Worse comes to the worse I will sell this to get the ED80 or the Williams. Anyway here you go the two photos
Helite
Different focuser from mine, and hard to see from the pics, is there a thread where the arrow is pointing?
brrttpaul
yes , AHHHH Bingo I can see it now , so i take that top tube bit off and attach the T ring/camera?
Helite
Ok, you might find the eyepiece seat with the 2 thumbscrews will unscrew from that threaded base and the T-ring will screw right onto it, it does with the skywatcher crayford focuser so may do with that too, try it. Helite
As long as it is secure and comes to focus that should be good mate. Give it a shot !
