Red channel 300p (aka) Ted Jupiter

I cant figure this scope out its nuts, Spent most of the imaging time at a lower focal length to try and get a stable image, And the images are ok but pretty average to say the least, as I mentioned to Jake.

Then I up the power,  near the end of the session, Collimation had drifted out, I could see a pulling on one side, getting progressively worse.  Sill I tried to get some more RGBs at this higher power. Before the mount would need a meridian flip. Which I certainly wasn't going to do

Was quite surprised when I did the stack and saw a ton of detail in it. 

Seeing had worsened by the time I was at this higher power, so I am surprised its produced any detail at all.

I like the look of that Neil! There is more meat to the detail with the bigger scope. Look forward to the RGB version!

The red channel can spring surprises on you, I find. A rather pleasant surprise, I would say. Nice to salvage a good image out of a frustrating session, by the sound of it.

Looking at the avis, the green and blue died after this. I may or may not get a colour shot I am happy with out of it.

Swings and roundabouts. Its the best red ive had out of the scope for sometime. So at least something positive.
